Laurie became a Notary Public in 1986. She operates a busy and successful practice in Sidney with her partner, Lisa Ehrlich, where she is a well-known and respected member of the community. She is married to Wayne Braid. Between them, they share six children and 7 grandchildren.
Laurie was first elected to the Board of Directors of the Society in 1998 and since that time has served on the Membership and Credentials Committee, the Magazine Committee and is Chair of the Public Relations Committee. She has been a Governor of the Notary Foundation since 2004.
Laurie’s Sidney practice focuses on the senior’s based population and she is widely known for her experience in wills preparation and estate planning.
Laurie has a thorough knowledge of Adult Guardianship Legislation and she has been a guest speaker and lecturer on the subject for many interested groups including Notaries and Lawyers. |
